K.J

K.J (they/them) is a non-binary, UK based lighting designer working globally across Theatre, Opera, Dance and Live Performance Art. 

​

They are a professional member of the Association of Lighting Production and Design and a graduate of the ALPD 20:20 Lumiere Scheme, under the mentorship of Adam Silverman.

​

K.J's work has drawn attention in international press, drawing on their ability to highlight even the slightest nuances in performance.

They have worked with many world renowned companies including Birmingham Royal Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, Venice Biennale, Manchester International Festival, Sheffield Theatres, Birmingham Rep, Persona Arts, Traverse Theatre, Fuel, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Joss Arnott Dance, Avant Garde Dance, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Fubunation.​​

Productions that K.J has worked on has included National Dance Award & Fringe First Award winners, Dance Europe Critic's Choice, and has also been nominated for a UK Theatre Award.

They are always looking for new opportunities and particularly driven in amplifying voices for queer representation on stage. â€‹â€‹
